The last several weeks of 2016 were full with family, friends, ministry partners and traveling. I (Adam) often say that when we leave Kansas City for Illinois we are going home and when we go back to Kansas City we are heading home. Both places hold a special place in our hearts. We celebrated the holidays with 3 Thanksgiving meals, 3 Christmas gatherings and an early family birthday party for Sophia. It is mind-blowing how fast the time has flown and she turned one on January 14th. She loves walking, talking, discovering things, riding her electric 4-wheeler, waving hi and being tickled. As new parents in 2016 we’ve experienced many joyful firsts and we learned how to tackle new challenges. We have seen the faithfulness of the Lord’s provision, favor, grace, patience and amazing love towards us.

In late January we have a conference in Rochester, Minnesota where we will minister to and connect with leaders from several surrounding states. We are planning meetings and gearing up for 2017, so we ask that you would pray for the Lord to guide us in every relationship, ministry opportunity and project. We know that Kelli still has the desire to write two books, and we are praying for the timing, inspiration and grace for each book. I believe that writing is something that I would like to intentionally pursue this year as well, so pray for diligence in that area.

Upcoming Conference in Peoria: March 11th & 12th

We started 2016 with a wonderful celebration as we welcomed our little girl into the world on January 14th.  Parenthood has been a rollercoaster of emotions with great days and learning days. We have made it through her colic and tummy issues, teething, crawling, eating solid foods and her first steps all this year. It is so fun when we look back at pictures to see all of her development and changes as she has grown. We have felt so blessed to have Sophia in our family and are very thankful everyday for our funny, energetic, strong-willed, smart, beautiful, inquisitive and loving baby girl.
Throughout this year we have been learning how to do full-time ministry and travel with our new family of 3. We have seen the Lord move in power during ministry in Kansas City, Peoria and Colorado. Adam has been writing on his blog and leading a weekly men’s small group at our home. One of his prayers has been to disciple some of the men in his sphere of influence, and he has seen God answer that prayer. We had a Plumbline retreat in Colorado that was both refreshing and encouraging as we connected with friends, other staff members and the Lord. I had the opportunity to speak at a ladies’ tea at my parent’s church and Adam spoke the following evening during their Sunday night service. We also ministered at Oasis Church in Illinois several times, which is led by our dear friends Joe & Angela Hawkins. We were thankful for all of the opportunities we had to minister throughout this year, and we are already planning events for 2017. Please join us in praying for the Lord to guide our ministry opportunities in the coming year.
We cannot express how much each of you mean to us, and the love and kindness that you have shown to us is a blessing. May the Lord reveal Himself through the blessings, favor, love and joy that He gives to you and your family as you seek His face.

Many Blessings,
Adam, Kelli & Sophia Moser

Colorado Retreat, Upcoming Illinois Trip & More!

Picture
Our family getting ready for dinner during the Plumbline retreat in Buena Vista, Colorado.September & October Recap
We spent over two weeks traveling in the month of September. Our journey began in Illinois, and it was a combination of ministry and fun. We ministered at several different places including a Plumbline seminar at the Dream Center, speaking at Oasis Church in Creve Coeur, ministering at a leadership gathering and a sharing at a Bible study. Kelli and I are learning how to minister as a team and switch off taking care of Sophia. The Morton Pumpkin Festival was a great time of connecting with friends, visiting family and enjoying the foods and cider slushes that remind us of home. Sophia enjoyed meeting new people, watching the parade and spending time with all of her beloved grandparents and family members. She is learning how to crawl at a rapid pace and pulls up onto her feet every day, which means that we are busy chasing our mobile child :)

Picture
We had a pit stop in KC before traveling to Colorado for a Plumbline Renewal Community retreat. We spent time fellowshipping, enjoying the natural hot springs and praying for one another. There were over 20 people that joined us, and over half of the Plumbline staff was able to attend. During the drive out and back we saw the changing of the Aspen trees pictured above, which light up entire mountainsides like they are ablaze with gold! Our friends Terry & Geri hosted us in Denver on our way to the retreat and a few days following, which was truly a blessing. We were also grateful to visit our niece, her fiancé and a few friends in Denver before we made our way back to Kansas City.
On October 8th we hosted a seminar in Kansas City on Awakening the Prophetic, and the response was very positive. The men's group that I have been leading is going well, and we have really grown together as friends and brothers in Christ. I am also currently intentionally mentoring a few young men in person and over the phone, and it is a blessing to see the Lord moving in their lives. Kelli's parents came down to KC for a visit, and we had a fun time tooling around the city, working on a few projects and hanging out together.

Late July & August 2016 Update

Sophia turned 7 months old on August 14th. She has two bottom teeth, loves giving high fives, laughing and rolling from her hands and knees to her rump.

July & August in a Nutshell
At the end of July we were thankful to minister at Oasis Church with Joe and Angela Hawkins. They have poured into our lives for many years, and we are grateful for their friendship. We are planning on speaking at Oasis on September 11, so check below for details. Adam's parents visited us in Kansas City, and we enjoyed our time together as a family. At the end of August Plumbline hosted a seminar in Kansas City on growing in recognizing God's voice, and we saw many people that were strengthened and blessed by God and by people praying for them.

Sophia has been learning how to eat solids for the last few months, and we are thankful when they stay in her mouth instead of all over us  :-) She is learning how to crawl, get up from her back and stomach, and grab onto things so that she can move. As we looked at the possibility of Sophia crawling soon, we moved our office from the main floor to the basement. It felt great to clean, organize and have a new space to read and study.

Signs, Wonders and Renewal One-Day Seminar
September 10th from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

at the DreamCenter Peoria

Many people struggle with the concepts God working in the areas of signs, wonders and renewal. We at Plumbline understand this difficulty, and have a three step process to activate people in the realm of the supernatural.

This one-day seminar will bring revelation to you in these areas:
1. Lay a Biblical foundation for the supernatural in your life.
2. Very simple steps to walk out God working through you.
3. How to live a supernaturally natural life on a regular basis.

Cost: No admission cost, but an offering will be taken to cover expenses and bless the ministers.

Where: DreamCenter Peoria
714 Hamilton Boulevard
Peoria, IL 61603
2nd Floor, Hamilton 1 Room (Overlooking Parking Lot)

RSVP isn't necessary but it is helpful. Click the "Attend Event" and invite your friends.

Finding Your Money Personality: Part 1

Finding Your Money Personality: Part 1
Has anyone ever told you that you have a great personality? What about your money personality? In today’s blog we are going to look at 5 money personalities and the impact they have on many aspects of our lives and our relationships. In “The 5 Money Personalities: Speaking the Same Love and Money Language,” the Money Couple Bethany and Scott Palmer unpack these categories in detail, so this blog is an introduction to the idea.

Every person has a primary and secondary money personality. The primary personality is the one that fits your actions and feelings about money without question. The secondary money personality is the one that resonates with you, but not as much as the primary. Our personalities are a result of the characteristics we are born with (nature) and the development and growth of those aspects through the environment in which we grow up (nurture).

The 5 Money Personality Types
  1. Savers “get a rush out of saving money.”
  2. Spenders actually get the rush from spending money.
  3. Risk takers are more excited about the risk than they are of the potential profit that could be made.
  4. Security seekers are most interested in their finances being safe and in line.
  5. Flyers (as in fly by the seat of their pants) are rarely affected emotionally by money.

June & July 2016 Update

Sophia turned 6 months old on July 14th. She loves her feet, eating vegetables, inchworming in her bed, rolling over both ways, standing with help and splashing in her tub and pool.
May & June Rundown
Kansas City in May was full of pleasant weather with a lot of rain throughout the month. We worked around the house and on various ministry projects. We did a little garage sale shopping and walked around the neighborhood with Sophia. She is enjoying vegetables and yet is unsure of the fruits we have tried. We had Sophia dedicated at church in Kansas City, and then we watched it on video with family in Illinois as they prayed over her life.
In June we celebrated our 3 year anniversary, and it’s crazy to think how fast time flies. I also started a men’s discipleship group that meets weekly at our home. I am looking forward to growing these friendships as we each grow in the Lord. We celebrated the marriage of my cousin in Peoria, and it was great to see almost all of the Moser clan in one place! While in Morton we were able to see several friends and their children, most of whom had not met Sophia. We came back to KC just in time to host one of our nieces as she was en route and moving to Colorado.

We finished out June saying goodbye to Tim and Blaire Fraim before they moved to Brazil.

Illinois Trip July 21st-25th
We will be ministering at Oasis Church, led by Joe and Angela Hawkins, on Thursday, July 21st at 7:00 PM. If you would like to join us, contact us for more information because seating is limited.

We are planning to spend time with as many of you as we can, so contact us about getting together. We are also going to be meeting with people about joining our team as prayer and financial partners, so please pray for divine connections in that area.

Are You A Disciple of Jesus? Part 2

7/5/2016

Picture
In the first blog on being a disciple of Jesus we presented the definition of a disciple as one who is a learner and is a follower of Jesus. We presented the two greatest commandments are to love God and love our neighbor as we love ourselves. The last aspect that we covered was the Great Commission, where Jesus commanded all of His disciples (including us) to make disciples of all nations and to teach all that He had commanded.
Read Previous Blog on Discipleship
Every person that has chosen to follow Jesus has turned from their old lifestyle of sin and evil, repented and turned towards Him. At that point Jesus becomes Lord, which means He is the master and ultimate authority. This concept is seen in Romans 10:9 “…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Jesus also gave the instruction for water baptism in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as an outward sign of an inward reality, renouncing the old life and entering the new life in Christ. There are different views in the body of Christ on how and when baptism is to be performed, so my encouragement is to search the Scriptures and investigate what God chose to have recorded in His Word about water baptism.

May 2016 Update

Sophia at 4 months old. She is sitting up and standing with help, eating some food, learning to roll over and staying at the top of the growth charts :)
The beginning of April began with Kelli’s birthday and my (Adam’s) family in Kansas City, where we cherished the time together. When family left we spent quite a bit of time preparing for the trip to Illinois and the teachings we were going to give. We are learning to plan our time differently as we care for Sophia and develop the many facets of full-time ministry. Multiple times we would take shifts watching Sophia to give the other person uninterrupted blocks of time and focus.

Kelli speaking at the Glad Tidings women's tea and luncheon
Kelli shared at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God's women’s tea and luncheon, which was themed “Color Me Fragrant.” The focus of her sermon was growing closer to the Lord through sacrifice, intimacy and obedience. It was truly a powerful sermon and I was thankful that Sophia snoozed the entire time, allowing me to hear Kelli’s message in person.

Left: Celebrating Kelli’s birthday! Middle: Sophia had great pictures taken by at our home by Meagan Linville Photography (Find more on our blog). Right: It was so fun to be with family and making memories together in the City of Fountains.
March & Early April
We were blessed to introduce Sophia to many of our friends and family in Illinois during the weekend of Resurrection Sunday. She travelled well and was able to adapt to sleeping in a different location and all of the adjustments that come with being somewhere new. She is growing and developing quickly, so it is fun to see the little changes happen. On April 2nd we celebrated Kelli’s birthday and went out on a date as a family. The first week of April we hosted my (Adam’s) sister Melissa and her boyfriend Mike from Portland, Oregon. It was exciting to have them meet Sophia for the very first time. My parents also came down from Illinois, so the seven of us painted the town red eating BBQ, seeing sites and playing games at night. We enjoyed spending time together as we showed them all around our beloved KCMO.

Are you a disciple of Jesus? part 1

3/31/2016

Picture
What is a disciple? In the 21st century this word is not very common, and it is often associated with the 12 men that were with Jesus for the 3½ years of his earthly ministry.

The definition of a disciple is a student, apprentice and learner. Disciple is synonymous with the word follower, which corresponds to both belief and practice.  In Luke 14:25-33 Jesus tells those listening (and we who are reading) that to be His disciple we are to count the cost of following Him, deny all that we have including our own lives, take up our cross and follow Him.

We have all heard about the 10 commandments, but do you know the two greatest commandments given to followers of Jesus?
