At the end of June we met my (Adam’s) parents in Iowa to visit family before the Fourth of July. It was Sophia’s first time at my Uncle Todd & Aunt Sam’s house. She had fun playing with cousins, riding on the golf cart and petting animals.  The next several weeks in Kansas City were less fun as all three of us battled sickness. Sophia came into 18 months battling a fever followed by a cold that she passed onto us. She then followed in her dad’s footsteps by getting chickenpox at 18 months of age. The pregnancy is going well and Kelli is almost at the halfway point. Her morning sickness affects her quite a bit, although it is worse later in the day. Please pray for relief and grace as she continues to grow our next little one.
I recently began going through two books with men that I am mentoring, and we talk weekly about how the Lord is challenging us and helping us grow.

In August we made a short visit to Illinois to comfort my family after the passing of Charlotte Hill, whom was born to my cousin Emily and Donovan Hill. It was very difficult and unexpected, so please pray for the Lord to continue to be near to their entire family.
