What is a disciple? In the 21st century this word is not very common, and it is often associated with the 12 men that were with Jesus for the 3½ years of his earthly ministry.

The definition of a disciple is a student, apprentice and learner. Disciple is synonymous with the word follower, which corresponds to both belief and practice.  In Luke 14:25-33 Jesus tells those listening (and we who are reading) that to be His disciple we are to count the cost of following Him, deny all that we have including our own lives, take up our cross and follow Him.

We have all heard about the 10 commandments, but do you know the two greatest commandments given to followers of Jesus?

Is Money the Root of Evil?
Confronting 4 Common Misconceptions about Money and the Bible

Money is a hot-button topic in our culture, and it is not uncommon for people to become uncomfortable or defensive when it is discussed. Sophia Annalea Moser is here! She was born at 8:09 AM on Thursday, January 14th. She was 9 pounds, 9 ounces and 22 inches long. All 4 of our parents came down to meet her and be with us. She is already tipping the scales at 13 pounds!

 New Beginnings!
January was an amazing month. We settled back in at home after much time on the road and prepared our home and our hearts for the bundle of joy that we received on January 14th. The surgery for the scheduled C-section went smoothly, and she was born about 10 minutes after they began! She had a short stay in the NICU and then was brought into our room at the hospital until we were released. We have been settling into a new season and learning how to keep her as safe and comfortable as we can. Now that about 7 weeks have passed Kelli’s body is starting to be less sore from the surgery and I have been doing my best to help in every way. Our parents have already been down multiple times to hold Sophia and snuggle with those kissable cheeks!
